A new step: How can Reflexology help you?

As a reflexologist in training, I’ve already had the privilege of working with a variety of clients, and the experiences have been both fascinating and deeply rewarding. Reflexology is much more than a foot massage, it’s a gentle yet powerful therapy that can offer real support for your body, mind, and emotions.

What Happens During a Session?

Each session begins with a brief health consultation. This helps me understand where I can best support you during our time together. I’ll ask a few questions about your general wellbeing, any ongoing concerns, and what you’re hoping to get out of the treatment.

From there, the focus shifts entirely to your relaxation and comfort. I play calming music to help you unwind and create a quiet space for you to step away from the noise of daily life, whether you’re balancing a busy job, raising a family, or simply navigating the pressure of modern city living.

What Can Reflexology Feel Like?

Clients have reported a wide range of responses during and after a session. Some experience distinct memories surfacing, things they haven’t thought about in years. Others mention flashes of light or a tingling sensation when certain reflex points are stimulated. But most commonly, clients describe it as a full nervous system reset, like hitting pause on a hectic life and allowing the body to deeply rest.

Sometimes, emotions can also arise. Reflexology has a way of gently bringing up what’s been stored in the body, which can be a valuable part of the healing process. Most people leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more centered.

So What Exactly Is Reflexology?

Reflexology is based on the principle that specific points on the feet  correspond to different organs, glands, and systems of the body. By applying gentle pressure to these reflex points, we aim to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and encourage a state of balance and harmony.

What Can Reflexology Support?

While reflexology is not a diagnostic or curative therapy, it can offer support for a wide range of physical, emotional, and energetic concerns. Clients often turn to reflexology for help with:

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Sleep issues and insomnia

  • Hormonal imbalances (including PMS and menopause symptoms)

  • Digestive discomfort

  • Tension headaches and migraines

  • Boosting energy and vitality

  • Emotional release and mental clarity

  • Overall relaxation and wellbeing
